      Here you will find our lineup of summer activities for all ages at Upton Town Library! 
              The theme for Summer 2017 is BUILDING!

We will have copies of select titles available for circulation on our Summer Reading Shelf, as well as audiobooks, MP3 playaways, and even digital e-books on Overdrive and Axis 360.

Mr. Bill's Move and Groove Music
On Alternate Fridays at 10am on June 30, July 14, July 28, August 11 and August 25
Upton Town Library Children's Area
Masked in play children experience a well rounded curriculum exposing them to new songs, old favorites, group dances, pitched and non-pitched percussion instruments, musical concepts, tonal and rhythm patterns. This program will alternate with Baby Storytimes at 10:30am on Fridays.
 Suggested for ages 1-5.
 
Tuesday, June 20, 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Nipmuc High School Courtyard
The University of New Hampshire’s traveling theater group will captivate audiences with a presentation of Aesop's Fables! In case of rain, this event will be moved to the Nipmuc High School Auditorium. All ages welcome.




Red Cross Babysitter’s Training 
with Pediatric First Aid and CPR
Friday, June 23, 9am - 4:30pm

Upton Town Library

 Our annual teen event is now offering First Aid and CPR training alongside current life-saving babysitting techniques. Up to 10 participants allowed,
training fee of $140 required (must be checks made payable to Upton Town Library). Ages 11-15.


 Ed Popielarczyk’s Magical Flea Circus

Tuesday, June 27, 6:30pm

Memorial Elementary School Media Center

View hilariously spectacular feats featuring Ed's brand of flea entertainment featuring magic and balloons.

Please, do not arrive wearing any flea collars, it offends the fleas. All ages welcome.

Upton Town Library
This cooking class shows how healthy eating is fun and delicious. A tasty meal with kid-friendly and nutritious ingredients is prepared and sampled by the teens. The class is hands-on for a group holding up to 14 participants. Ages 10 - 17.

Spend 8 hours on our lawn playing life-sized classic
board games! For all ages.


Henna by Heather
Wednesday, July 26, 3pm - 5pm
Upton Town Library

Receive a unique or traditional henna design by professional henna artists!

Ages 5 and up.




Tuesday, August 1, 2pm-3pm

Using giant bubble wands he designed and constructed by the Bubble Guy himself, Mr. Vinny will gather kids for an hour long game of bubble-watching, bubble-chasing, and bubble-popping! For all ages.



Thursday, August 3, 2pm- 3pm
Memorial Elementary School Cafetorium 

Design paper airplanes and learn science with Phil Rossoni’s Walkalong Gliders! Up to 20 children permitted; Preregistration required. Ideal for ages 5 - 11.





Tuesday, August 8, 11:00am -1:00pm
Upton Town Library Lawn

Come meet, feed, and brush some friendly and patient barn animals in their own pen. Each visit is supervised by the traveling petting zoo handler. An additional pen for viewing only will include Steve the donkey and Hunter the llama!


 Stuffed Animal Sleepover Party
Wednesday night, August 9 (Drop off by 6pm)
 Let your stuffed animal spend the night at Upton Town Library’s Stuffed Animal Sleepover! Drop them off by Wednesday, August 9 at 6pm since the animals will have a curfew. Recommended for toy owners aged 4 and up.
