The Upton Town Library is monitoring and following the guidelines provided by the Upton Board of Health, Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Center for Disease Control, and we will continue to adapt to the changing situation.

A summary of the advice and guidelines I have received so far is:

  •  Enhance personal hygiene for staff and patrons – handwashing, cough techniques
  • Enhance routine cleaning procedures – Periodically clean frequently touched surfaces with bleach disinfectant
  •  Send ill staff or patrons home
  •  Prepare plan to handle absent employees
  • Cancel group gatherings of more than 250 people
