This
fall, Upton Town Library and YMCA Family & Community Partnership
(YFCP) are pleased to offer a “Young Scientists” program facilitated by
STEM Beginnings, a company in Westborough which offers fun-filled and
exciting programs for children focused on STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Mathematics). Children learn STEM concepts through
hands-on activities, engaging stories, challenges, and simple
experiments ideal for little hands.
“Young Scientists” is a one hour
weekly program intended for children ages 3-5 years. YFCP facilitators
will visit some classes to share YFCP information.
We are
scheduling a 6 week fall session on Thursdays beginning September 29 to
November 3 all between 10:30am to 11:30am.
Registration for families attending the Young Scientists
program will be done by the library. A minimum of 5 children and a
maximum of 12 children are needed for STEM Beginnings to hold the
program. Younger siblings are welcome to attend; those above the age of 24 months can be counted in the total
of 12 children.
For more information or if interested in registering,
please contact Miss Nicole at nicole.uptonlibrary@gmail.com or call the
library at 508-529-6272.
