Help plan a new library facility
The Upton Town Library Board of Trustees is looking for residents of Upton to serve on the Library Feasibility Committee to investigate, plan and design a new library facility for the Town of Upton.
We are specifically looking for volunteers with professional experience in: architecture; interior design; real estate; or finance.
The Feasibility Committee reports to the Board of Library Trustees, and will conduct a 2 year planning and design process, to take place from October 2014 through July 2016. The time commitment for members is expected to average two meetings per month, with some periods of increased activity, such as when interviewing and hiring an architect.
For more information, please contact Matthew Bachtold, Library Director at 508-529-6272 / firstname.lastname@example.org; or John Robertson, Jr., Chairman of the Board of Library Trustees at 508-529-3282.
If you’d like to provide input in the planning process, but can’t commit to being a Feasibility Committee member, we’ll be holding focus groups, sending out a survey and hosting open meetings to solicit input. Contact Matthew Bachtold at the Upton Library and we can talk about how to best incorporate your input into the planning process.
We are especially interested in hearing from residents who don’t currently use library services.
