Red Cross Babysitter's Training course - Friday, June 27th.
Upton Town Library will
host the University of New Hampshire’s Little Red Wagon professional
children’s theatre troupe on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 6pm at the Nipmuc
High School Courtyard for a performance of
“The Nightingale.” Adapted from the 1843 story by Hans Christian
Andersen and directed by UNH Associate Professor Raina Ames, Little Red
Wagon’s “The Nightingale” is a reimagined telling of this Danish fairy
tale. Through movement and music, the story portrays
an emperor who neglects the beauty of his faithful, real nightingale in
favor of a bejeweled, mechanical nightingale. Appropriate for kids
between the ages of 3 and 10. No sign-ups for this program are
necessary. In case of inclement weather the show will be
moved inside to the Nipmuc High School Auditorium.
